The soap nuts

In a carry of environmental issues, we are exporting for several years soap nut, fruits of the soap tree (Sapindus Mukorossi) who belongs, like the lychee, to the Sapindacees family et who grows all over the Indonesian archipelago.
Soap nuts grow wild and their shell is used since immemorial times for the traditional washing of batiks, jewels and clothes. In industrial countries, saponine, extracted matter from the nuts, is used for industrial fabrication of soap and cosmetics. In occident, we gain knowledge of their primary and direct use for a second time. Soap nuts are becoming more and more famous and popular as ecological and natural universal cleaning product.

Advantages regarding other wash powder

Soap nuts contain until 15% saponine. These ones clean clothes very well and remove stains and dirt, while preserving fibers and colors.
Thanks to natural laundry make by soap nuts, clothes become pleasant even without demulcent.
As they don’t hold odorant chemical complements neither others non natural additives, soap nuts are often recommended for allergic persons or sensitive skin persons like babies.
Comparing to conventional washing powders, we can realize until 50% savings.

Environment and ecology

Soap nuts are totally biodegradable. After using them, they can perfectly find a place in the compost. They preserve the environment because they don’t pollute water counter to synthesis chemical washing powders.
The appreciation of the soap nuts helps to fight against forest’s wild exploitation and in the same time against erosion and desertification of their original soil. Moreover, soap nuts’ commercialization provides vitals wages to native populations, once again, in rural areas where unemployment is high.

Inner market

This year, as an experiment, we have opened a laundry 100% natural using soap nuts and biological bleacher in the south of Bali. We can wash cloth cold or at 40, 60 or 90 degrees. Drying is done naturally under transparent canopy and wind-opened.
We take laundry by kilos which can be an interesting save. The laundry is washed, dried, ironed, perfumed and bent. We perfume cloth with essential oil of lavender.
A delivery service is in project.
We furnish also some hotels and persons concerned about the protection of the environment. For those who wish, we can also provide small vegetable growth of soap tree.
